End of the ride

That's it, the end of the ride! Happy to say that the last day was lovely. Poland is pretty big on cycling and I got from Tarnow to Krakow almost entirely on cycle routes. Went though some lovely forests and passed the bison reserve (didn't see any of course), and got into town well before the thunderstorms hit. Just as well too - the heavens have just opened and it's due to rain for the next two of days.

Kind of emotional tonight - very happy to arrive but so sad to be at the end of the trip. It's not really the end of course and the blog is going to carry on at least until I get back to the UK, and eventually for updates on the fruit cage project. Congratulations for getting to the end of your 3000k bike ride, Al. I have loved reading your blog and looking at the fantastic photos. You paint such great pictures about your travels - that's quite some achievement! We are looking forward to seeing you when you get back to Exeter and we can't thank you enough for thinking about us in raising some cash for the fruit beds. The birds left us 400grams of blackcurrants this year so we will need all the netting we can get! According to Steve it has made a jar and a half of jam! Come and claim your reward soon!!
