Set off west through the Durmitor Park, over the highlands before heading down towards the Piva lake. Turned north, following the lake/gorge road through dozens of tunnel, then crossed the dam and followed the gorge. Fantastic views from the bridge over the gorge, then on to the Bonsian border crossing.
Straight away it feels like a different country. Between the checkpoints the road crosses a rickety wooden bridge, then the road turns to broken tarmac and hardpack gravel in contrast to Montenegro's smooth roads an engineered tunnels. Things get better as I head on though, and I've wound up in Foca, a quiet town on the Drina River.
Only problem is that it's Sunday and I don't have any local money. Someone let me use euros to buy pizza and ice cream, so that's fine, and hopefully I can get some change at the bank tomorrow!
