I'm in Novi Sad today, the second biggest city in Serbia. Quite a long ride, but flat so doesn't feel so long, although at 35 degrees in the shade it's definitely hot.

Novi Sad is a city that feels affluent and well organised, and had a lot of fine architecture, including a Catholic church, in a style that makes it feel more central European than Balkan. When you travel by bicycle the food, buildings and general feel of places alter subtley as you move from place to place - and then you look back and realise just how much everything has changed along the way.
