Finally left the great plain and heading up into the hills, although they're very small hills so far. The landscapes get more interesting, as do the villages for some reason. First stop visited a museum which was nice, but nothing in English. Stuff about postcards and chocolate, after that I'm not sure.

Second village was a lovely picturesque little wine village, but bizarrely everything was closed. Found the off licence open on the second try hoping to get some snacks, but nothing except cigarettes beer and haribo. I'd resolved myself to a liquid dinner with a few stale peanuts when I spotted an old lady emerging from a shipping container with what looked like a loaf of bread. The container turned out to be a tiny but well stocked supermarket! Got some food and set up camp in some oak trees with my beer. Hardly a mosquito to be seen!
