Still hot today, but a bit fresher than yesterday. Found a great network of cycle routes going through Hortobagy national park, past a bird reserve. Didn't see a white tailed eagle, but I did see a red deer and an egret. Still being attacked by mosquitoes, but tomorrow I'm heading north our of the great plane area and towards the Zemplen mountains, so maybe they'll leave me alone tomorrow.

How entertaining to read through your adventures! It all sounds epic and rather wonderful (even the saturated parts) Glad it’s all going well , and you seem to be on target. Hopefully we’ll see you in Brighton if all goes to plan. The kids were really happy to get the postcard, it’s very much a blue moon event these days, if not rarer.
